Strawberry Pretzel Salad

You will need:

1 1/2 cups crushed pineapple
3/4 cups margarine, melted
4Tablespoons sugar
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
10 oz. non-dairy whipped topping (cool whip or similar), thawed
2 cups crushed pretzels
1/4 cup sugar (separate from the previous 4 Tablespoons)
6 ounces strawberry jello
2 cups boiling water
1 (10 oz.) packages frozen strawberries

Melt margarine in a 9x 13 inch pan.

Mix crushed pretzels and 4Tablespoons sugar in margarine. Pat down and bake 10 minutes at 350 degrees.

Beat cream cheese, 1/4cup sugar and cool whip. Spread over crust, sealing in all edges.

Dissolve Jello in boiling water, add frozen strawberries and stir to break apart. Pour jello/strawberry mixture over cream cheese/ cool whip layer.

Refrigerate at least 2 hours before serving. Jello should be set.

Cut into squares before serving.

Serves 6-8.
